Alberni Drag Racing - Racer Pre-Registration

For a printable Pre-registration Form click HERE:

Due to the popularity of our event and the limited space we have, 2007's pits were at full capacity for all classes.

For 2008's event, we will be insisting on pre-registration for the following classes: Doorslammer,Bike and exhibition vehicles.
We would also strongly suggest that to avoid dissapointment Street, Mod and Pro/Super pro class participants should also pre-register.
All parking is on a first come, first served basis, excepting the restricted parking area reserved for larger units.

If you would like a chance to be in this years Race Program feel free to include a short bio of yourself, a description of your car, and your car number if you already have one... we wont be able to put everyone in but we will try to include as many as possible! If you have already sent in your registration, just send us your info to the same address as the registration form. For registration information, contact avdrareg@hotmail.com

Tech Location and Times

Tech takes place outside the airport gates

Tech times are as follows:
Friday gates open at 11 am and close before dusk (cant tech in the dark)
Saturday gates open at 8 am with tech running until early afternoon
Sunday gates open at 8 am and tech closes at start of first round(usually around 9-930 am

Pit Parking

Due to last years great turnout, we are instituting a few changes for this years race. Due to space limitations, in the pit area we will be limiting each race vehicle to ONE support vehicle that can be parked in the pit area. All other vehicles will be parked in either the overflow parking (space permitting) or in the spectator parking areas. We ask your co-operation in this as we are very limited for space. So don't put your tools in your buddy's truck expecting him to park with you unless its your support vehicle. It would be much easier for everyone involved if you bring just the one support vehicle and your race car. Cars that do not pass tech will not be allowed to park in the pit area.

Prizes

Last years prizes were paid out of the racers gate and we will be doing the same this year.We will be paying out to the top eight cars. This gives more people a chance to leave with something.

Friday Night Entry to The Alberni Valley Regional Airport

Only racers that have pre-teched, their pit crewmembers and families will be able to enter the grounds on Friday. Gates will open for racers at 11 am. Gates into the airport grounds will close at 10pm. No one will be allowed in after this time

Overnight Camping

Only pre-teched racers, their pit crewmembers and families will be able to camp on the grounds on Friday and Saturday night. We would like to remind you that the $50.00 entry fee covers only the car and driver. Each driver is allowed to purchase two restricted area passes.

Additional crew will pay the standard $15.00/per person/day or $25 for two days.

Additional Camping Areas on the Way to the Alberni Valley Airport

Racers who do not pre-tech will have to take advantage of these alternate campsites. The Arrowvale Campground turnoff is located just past the Tsheshaht Market at Stuart Ave. Follow the signs. Overflow camping may be available at Farmer Bills, which is on the left just past Tsheshaht Market. Sproat Lake Provincial Park Campsite is located 3 km. past the turnoff to the airport. Reservations at all of the above are recommended as they filled up fast last year.
